The Academy

- is a division of YEAH, Youth Educated At Home, serving the needs of home educated teens since
it was established in 1988.
- was founded in 1999 to fill the need expressed by many parents of home educated high school students.
- is a group tutorial supplement to individual home study programs.
- is not a "school"
- is not a homeschool "co-op" enrichment program.
- coursework has been selected with the objective of assisting home educating parents in courses that may be a challenge to them or be out of their field of expertise or interest.
- classes are held at a church conveniently located in Roseville on
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, September through April.
- day typically opens at 8:00 AM and ends at 4:30 PM (for most courses).
- Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday class semesters run for 15 weeks (fall and spring) with generally 90 minute classes
- course tuition typically costs $170.00-$200.00 per student per course per semester, plus texts
(where applicable).
- annually serves about 400 families and over 700 students.
- joined in partnership with North Central University,
Minneapolis, MN in May, 2009, to offer PSEO courses on site at
the church along side of the high school courses.
Courses would be taught by Academy tutors who are also hired
by NCU as adjunct professors.
