Class Description:
This one semester class focuses on the two
typical paths that students take after high school. Topics
include job applications, resumes, and job interviewing;
college planning and exploration, college standardized testing,
college application, activities resume, and essay; and a brief
exploration of alternatives to those two options. This
class will make at least two college visits during classes and
depending on interest, a college visit outside of the Twin
Cities on a non-class day.

Class Description:
This course covers information that students
will need to be financially literate. Topics include
attitudes about money, advertising, budgeting, consumer
comparisons, insurance, taxes, banking (savings and credit),
recordkeeping, buying a car, beginning investing, rental and
phone contracts, computer and phone scams, and privacy
issues. We will begin with an overview of
percentages. Students will be provided with a textbook,
workbook, notebook and tabs. Students should bring a
calculator to class.
