Class Description:

   
This course is designed to be a student’s first systematic introduction to the sciences. The course covers such topics as the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, archaeology, geology, paleontology, biology, and human anatomy and physiology. It has a wide scope with many hands-on experiments. The tutor leads the students in extensive lab work and lab reports in preparation for all aspects of their education, not only science.

Required: Internet access for students to receive assignments and class notices, download supplemental reading and worksheets, and link to applicable website.

Text: Apologia Exploring Creation with General Science Text and solutions manual. For purchasing: www.highschoolscience.com. NOTE: Update 8/28 - This course will use the 1st edition text (not the newest 2nd edition text).  They are quite different in layout and the tutor's syllabus coincides with the 1st edition.
