This course will take its participants on a
journey around the world and challenge them to "think
geographically" while learning about the interesting and
unique characteristics of the continents. We will study
the important physical features of the world, the people in it,
and their cultures. Students will also develop map reading
skills, gain knowledge in atlas usage, and learn key
geographical terms. Being a good memorizer is not required
in order to succeed in this class. Ultimately, the goal of this course
is to give students a foundation, whet their appetites, and
motivate them to be lifelong students of geography. This
course will enhance your student's success in other courses such
as World and American History.
