Class Description:
Tutor will guide students with assistance in explaining concepts of geometry and helping them to stay on task and with accountability. This geometry course covers both plane and solid geometry, covering standard topics in standard order. There will be good coverage of logic and proof, using the normal postulates and theorems of modern geometry. Topics include: a mathematical system, proofs, angel relationships, parallels, congruency, similar polygons, circles, construction and locus, area and volume, coordinate geometry and review.
Text: Alpha Omega LIFEPAC Math (Geometry) 10th grade math
boxed set (includes the ten workbooks and the Teacher’s Guide needed for the answers) .
The student will need a protractor and compass.
