Law & Politics - NEW for 2008-09

Class Description:

    
Students will gain an understanding of our Constitution from a conservative viewpoint and will examine and discuss current events (especially the election process) in light of compliance with existing law and biblical mandates.  Students will also study other forms of government in the world and in history.  Students who have had American Government will be encouraged to take the American Government CLEP or the Government and Politics AP test.

Texts: Constitutional Law for Enlightened Citizens by Michael Farris (published by HSLDA) and a bible (tutor will use KJV, but students may use a translation of their preference).

Class Description:

    
Students will study the history and sources of American business law, legal systems and procedures, the function of contracts in American business law, agency and employment, sales and other related topics.  The tutor will also focus on God's Law and biblical ethics.  Students will be encouraged to take the "Introductory Business Law" CLEP Test following the last class in the spring.
