on this website or in the printed 2008-09 or other catalog.
The following information is critical in registering for courses at The Academy, and all registrants are expected to be familiar with these policies and procedures. Please print them out for handy reference as you register for courses.

Registration begins for Current 2007-08 YEAH members, with memberships received through
June 30, 2008. NOTE: Registrations will NOT be accepted
prior to July 23.
August 1, 2008:
Registration begins for new 2007-08 YEAH members (memberships received July 1 and after)
All families who participate in classes
at The Academy must be current YEAH members.
(NOTE: Tuesday night Adult Education workshops are open to non-YEAH
members and non-home educators if workshop subject is applicable)

20, 2008: Registration begins for Current Fall
2008 Academy members.
Dec. 1, 2008: Registration begins for
2008-09 YEAH Academy members who were not enrolled in Fall 2008 classes, space available.
All families who participate in classes at The Academy must be current
YEAH Academy members.
REGISTRATION
POLICIES (NEW
for Spring 2009):
1. REGISTRATION:
All YEAH Academy courses registration and tuition payments are to be
processed online effective immediately and official as of November 20,
2008. Contact Skip, YEAH Online Conversion Manager, for details skipb@mtn.org
Tell him you are new to YEAH Academy for spring 2009 and not a current
YEAH Academy member.
All Academy students MUST be a current, REGISTERED YEAH Academy members to
register for The Academy student classes.
To upgrade from a YEAH member (paid $15.00) to
a YEAH Academy member ($45.00) for spring semester class registration,
the $30.00 upgrade fee must be paid with check (payable to YEAH
Academy) and mailed to YEAH, 5532 St. Stephen Street, St. Paul, MN
55112 with a note as to the intent. Thank you.
2. TUITION:
Paid/student/class – Tuition is payable online to individual Tutor (or Tutor’s Business Name).
Tuition varies per course. Please check the individual course
descriptions for tuition rates.
3. DOWN PAYMENT:
As of Spring 2009, all tuition is Paid In Full at the time of
registration. (If a payment plan is desired, it can be arranged with
the family's credit card company.)
4. TEXT
FEES:
Text fees are the responsibilities of the student.
There are several variations: (1) Texts are ordered directly from an
independent source, (2) Texts are provided by the tutor and are included
with the course tuition fee and (3) Texts may be ordered directly from the Tutor
but are not included with the course tuition fee. See individual course descriptions for details.
5. CANCELLATIONS
by family of student:
(NEW policy effective as of
November 1, 2008 for Spring 2009)
Cancellations before Class One: $85.00 refund
Cancellations after Class One and before Week Two:
$40.00 Refund;
Cancellations after Week Two and later: No Refund.
Cancellations of a course by YEAH or the tutor
due to insufficient enrollment: Full refund applies.
6.
NEW STUDENTS:
New students may join mid-year for Spring 2009 in designated courses
marked accordingly: "OPEN to mid-year entry of NEW students,
pending space availability in the class."
Students not enrolled in Fall 2008 classes may
register beginning on December 1, 2008.
New students will be accepted up to 2nd week of class, space available, and subject to individual
tutor approval.
7.
PAYMENTS:
ALL YEAH Academy Registration and Tuition Payments are processed online
beginning on November 20, 2008 for Spring 2009. Payments can be
made online with credit card (VISA or MasterCard) or VISA prepaid bank
card. Debit cards cannot be used for online registration. Checks
can no longer be accepted for tuition payment.

8. PSEO - SIGN UP for PSEO classes ASAP.
The Academy will determine on August 1 (Fall) and December 1 (Spring) if a PSEO class has enough students enrolled for it to be offered by us.
Check with NWC Center for Distance Education for their deadlines and cut off
dates as they vary per semester:
www.nwc.edu. If there is insufficient enrollment for a PSEO
tutorial classes at The Academy, students are individually notified as
soon as possible.
NOTE: Students may register and sign up for fall NWC CDE PSEO classes at any time prior to the deadline, but they cannot withdraw from these classes or enroll in any other NWC CDE PSEO class after the fall or spring deadline.
