Ms.
Carla Barwineck is the founder and Artistic Director of CB
Productions (2000), a theatre company for young artists.
She has over 30 years of theatre arts experience and 25+
years of directing, teaching and coaching theatre to teens
through adults. She earned a B.A. in Elementary Education and Theatre
Arts, worked as a professional actress for 12+ years and was
the Founder and Artistic/Executive Director for SteppingStone
Theatre (1987-97). She realizes that not every student will or should become involved in theatre as a career, but believes that theatre is the perfect medium for building life skills. She
was a home school parent for two years and has tutored at The

Ms Barwineck's teaching
philosophy is summed by in her words: "I have been gathering and
developing curriculum for this acting company for over 25
years. My wish is to share my passion for theatre and its
ability to teach not just the art-form, but life skills as
well. My goal is to instill a love of the arts that will
last a life time. By providing a thoughtful and challenging
arts program and setting the standards of excellence high through
our courses and performances, I am hoping that this will help
nurture the artist within us all."
Ms. Barwineck will be teaching and
overseeing every aspect of the acting program offered at The
YEAH Academy. To assure that the goals and demands are met,
Ms. Barwineck and CB Productions have contracted with two
artists to assist her in teaching the Acting Level 1 and Level
2 courses. Both have graduated from CB Productions
Acting Program: Ms. Joy Polnaszek (2007) and Ms. Kelly
Bancroft (2008). They each have performed lead roles in
numerous productions and have been actively teaching Acting 1
for CB Productions since 1008. Home educated through
high school graduation, they are both currently studying
acting in college.
