Mrs.
Tammie Haveman has earned an M.A. in teaching from the University of St. Thomas and is certified to teach general science (grades 5-9) and life science (grades 7-12). She spent three years of undergraduate work at Calvin College before earning her B.S. in biology at the University of Minnesota. Her enjoyment of working with youth has included youth ministry with inner city teens in St. Paul. She taught at Cleveland Middle School in St. Paul and Eagle Ridge Junior High School in Savage before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom with their young daughter and son. She has tutored at The Academy since
2002, returning in 2011 after taking a sabbatical leave of absence to pursue an advanced degree and care for her
