Everyone
has a worldview through which one views all of life. Generally
speaking, young people are not prepared to critically evaluate
the Secular Humanist, Marxist/Leninist, New Age and Post
Modernist influences in our culture. In
order for Christian students to discern and make an impact for
the Kingdom, they must clearly understand the tenets of the
biblical Christian worldview, and how it compares to the
competing worldviews. With video supplementation, this
course will bring a host of worldview experts into our
classroom. This is a rigorous 2-semester course comparing the
various worldviews as they relate to 10 disciplines (history,
economics, theology, ethics, philosophy, biology, psychology,
politics, sociology and law). In concert with the videos,
we’ll use textbooks and additional reading. Tutor-led group
discussions will reinforce and personalize the Christian
worldview perspective. Our youth (and adults) need to
under-stand that the truths of God’s Word apply to all of
life. They need to be able to discern truth from error whether
sitting in a university classroom or watching the evening news.
